Two Weeks

Well, friends, we have been in Cartersville for two weeks now.  Our move went very smoothly and we were very blessed by several families from Lake Point who came and helped us unload our moving truck!  We are slowly getting things unpacked and put away, and I am constantly finding better spots for stuff and rearranging.  The girls love their new bedroom and especially their new playroom...it is the best room in the house!  I didn't think we would ever have enough furniture for this big house but we are already filling it up.  I am itching to start decorating different areas of the house and am thankful for some Christmas gift cards I received that will help with that.

There are a few things that I have asked you all to pray for that I'd like to update you on!  First of all, let me tell you how Delilah and Penny are adjusting.  They are doing really well!  They sleep great in their new bedroom and have since the first night we got here.  They have done really well in the various church nurseries and with the different people they have met.  We have found a wonderful baby sitter who has already watched the girls twice and they both love her!  We visited a new church last Sunday that wanted to pray over Lake Point Church in their service and for the first time ever Penny didn't cry when I dropped her off.  It was amazing!  We have not had the typical issues people sometimes face with children when changes are introduced (i.e. behavioral problems, pottying issues, etc).  I am very thankful for this!  So, dear friends, thank you so much for praying for our sweet girls and please continue to do so!

Another thing that was a source of worry and prayer for me was finding a new pediatrician here.  We haven't been for an actual doctor visit yet but we did have a consult appointment with a fabulous doctor last week.  She is a fairly young woman and is from Tuscaloosa!  She knows our old family doctor and was in medical school just after him.  She did rounds at Tuscaloosa Peds and with one of the doctors at our old practice so she is familiar with them and what we are used to (and what I don't want in a doctor).  The girls both warmed right up to her and she even had Penny up in her lap (playing with her iPhone!) before the appointment was over.  We will be going for a well check for Penny in about a month so I am looking forward to how that will go and I have complete confidence that it is going to be great!

Some areas where you can continue to pray:
1)  Patrick does not have a job yet.  He has made some contacts and met with some people.  We are experiencing a little bit of confusion in regards to what line of work he should be in.  We both feel strongly in one direction but many friends and family are still encouraging him towards police work.  Please pray that Patrick and I will have clarity and stand firm in the way we feel God leading us, and also that he would show those around us what Patrick should be doing.  We pray for our will to align with His in every way.
2)  Please pray for Lake Point Church.  We have our last preview service this Sunday, January 27th.  We had 101 people in our last service!  Patrick and I are helping with kids church right now and we had 15 kids grades 1-5!  It was great!  Our official launch is February 10th and at that point we will start meeting weekly.

Thank you, as always, for praying for our family.  We appreciate you reading our blog and keeping up with our journey!  God is good!
